NEW SHELTER FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT

The Denise House/Sedna Women's Shelter & Support Services was honoured to welcome The Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion, to Oshawa this morning.
As part of Minister Hussen's announcement, The Denise House is pleased to announce that we have received a capital allocation of $14,105,066 M dollars to build a new 33 bed shelter and support services that will be fully accessible for all abilities and will include an on-site pet accommodation for those much-loved family members.
We are extremely grateful for this opportunity and funding that we know will make a difference in the lives of women experiencing gender-based violence.
