UPDATE - August 2024 - A New Home for The Denise House

Since our announcement below made in June 2023, much has progressed with construction having begun in April 2023. We are now in the process of looking at furniture and appliances and other fixtures that will complete our new home when it's ready for us to move into.  At this time, we anticipate a move in date in October 2024 and will host an Open House for our community prior to transitioning our families to their new home.

NEW SHELTER FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT

As part of Minister Hussen's announcement, The Denise House is pleased to announce that we have received a capital allocation of $14,105,066 M dollars to build a new 33 bed shelter and support services that will be fully accessible for all abilities and will include an on-site pet accommodation for those much-loved family members.

We are extremely grateful for this opportunity and funding that we know will make a difference in the lives of women experiencing gender-based violence.
